[Update: We’ve got the details (including pricing) on this new downloadable content straight from Microsoft; more below the original story.]

We don’t know much about the second bit of downloadable content for Crackdown 2, called “Deluge,” but here it is in action.

Microsoft released a gameplay video of the DLC, along with a handful of new screenshots. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about just what the content brings to the table, how much it will cost, and when it’s released. Based on the short snippet of gameplay, it appears to be some kind of “Horde-style” game mode.

[Update: Microsoft is calling “Deluge” a new “co-op arcade” mode which adds two new game types. One (the add-on’s namesake, “Deluge”) will have up to four players fighting off herds of mutants in the expected “Horde-style” mode. The other new mode, “Capture the Orb,” is the game’s version of traditional capture the flag for up to 16 players.

The add-on will also be the first to add Windows Phone 7 integration. Folks who own the Windows Phone 7 title Crackdown: Project Sunburst will be able to unlock bonuses in Crackdown 2‘s “Deluge” mode, including the ability to call in for support, like rocket-equipped helicopters, extra Peacekeepers, and other power-ups. On the flip-side, your scores in “Deluge” will unlock weapon upgrades in the Windows Phone 7 game. Project Sunburst is out this November.

“Deluge” will be available on November 17, and will cost 560 Microsoft Points; there will be a trial version available for those who want a taste before dropping the coin.]
