NFS: Hot Pursuit is 4x larger than Burnout Paradise

EA has a nifty interview with Criterion Games’ Matt Webster in which he talks about the size of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, among other bullet-point-sounding things.

“Put simply it’s around 4x bigger than Burnout Paradise, for cars to be able to usefully reach 260 miles an hour.” According to Webster, we can expect “well over 100 miles of tarmac road and 30-40% more off-road and shortcut areas.”

I’m of the opinion that bigger isn’t always the way to go (Far Cry 2 says “hello”), but Criterion knows what it’s doing, so I can’t say that I’m really worried.
