Namco’s tossing around some balls today

Namco has announced what may be the most brilliantly named iPhone and iPad game EVER: Toss the Ball. Releasing today, the goal of the game is to slide balls into holes in order to propel a racing character forward. If you’ve ever been to a carnival you’ve probably seen games exactly like this, but Namco is adding videogame logic to the twist by including power-ups and special balls with unique abilities.

Toss the Ball will be available for free, though you’ll need to pay .99 cents to unlock the full version. The game features 5 game boards and 4 modes with 6 player multiplayer being the star attraction.  I’ve gotta say I admire the poetic simplicity of this game’s title.  No beating around the bush.  I implore Namco to next produce “Shoot the Guy.”

Little known fact:  I used to work at an amusement park and have operated real-life games like this.  Now you know way too much about me.
