It should be no secret by now that I’ve got a massive bonk-on for Mistwalker’s The Last Story. Not only is it being developed by one of the few Japanese RPG developers to not become crap, it also looks really damn good for a Wii title, has a solid art direction, and an interesting combat style. What could go wrong?
Well, plenty could go wrong, as I’ve seen enough good ideas go sour before. However, everything could go right, and I really hope it does. Mistwalker’s Lost Odyssey was the last console RPG I truly fell in love with, and I hope The Last Story can become the next. We’ll have to wait and see.
