I’m almost suspicious of the volume of free Apps lately that have been really quite good. It can’t last. The latest in a line of freebies that fail to disappoint is Critical Wave, a shooter that shamelessly wears its Geometry Wars inspiration on its sleeve, but is very cool regardless.
The game is simple yet challenging, putting you in a box filled with enemies and charging you with the task of shooting them into pieces. Credits can be picked up and used to upgrade or buy weapons, and big bosses get increasingly more difficult to take out. It’s a fun little shooter and one I would recommend you check out.
So yeah, go do that thing!
