As the man responsible for both the rise and fall of Rapture, it’s only fitting that Andrew Ryan get a starring role in the BioShock prequel novel. BioShock: Rapture tells the story of Ryan’s aspirations for a utopian civilization where there is no censorship or government interference. Spoiler: it also details the decline of that same civilization.

BioShock: Rapture is available in stores now for $14.99, however, if you’re planning on attending San Diego Comic-Con this week you’d be foolish to not grab a free copy from the author himself, John Shirley. He’ll be at the TOR Publishing booth on Friday from 12pm to 1pm signing and distributing free copies of the book.
