Scarygirl gets a few more creepy-cute screens

Recommended Videos

Nathan Jurevicius’ Scarygirl flash game has been making the rounds since 2009, has since gotten a graphic novel, and is now coming to PSN/XBLA. It’s a wonderfully weird idea, and it’s always nice to see independent artists getting their shot at the mainstream market.

In case you’re not familiar with the property, you play as the “creepy-cute” Scarygirl, an orphan equipped with a tentacle arm and dressed in pirate garb. Scarygirl is aided by her pals Bunniguru (a kung-fu rabbit) and Blister the giant squid with a visual style that is comparatively off-the-wall. As a fan of unique visual styles, it’s easy to get excited about games like Scarygirl, but we’ll see when it releases later this year.
