PC gamers won’t get Darksiders until September

Vigil Games’ Darksiders: Wrath of War was one of the better action-adventure games in recent memory. Plus, it was a new IP with a cool premise — and it’s actually getting a much-deserved sequel. So many elements went terrifically right on this one, I was almost led to believe the planets aligned for THQ.

The reason I say “almost” is this: the PC version of Darksiders was supposed to hit this summer. It’s now being held back until September 24, unfortunately. On the bright side, those who wait have the option of getting the appropriately titled Hell Book edition.

No price was given, but the added goodies were mentioned: a comic book and art cards by artist Joe Madureira in addition to a soundtrack CD. And, based on the name, I’m inclined to believe the game will come packed in some ridiculous box. I can’t wait.
