If you’ve ever wondered what all of the henchman from beat ’em up games do on their time off, here’s you answer: nurse their wounds and cry into shot glasses of tequila.
This is illustrated nicely in the trailer for the upcoming Lucha Fury, a four-player cooperative beat ’em up headed to PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and PC this year. It’s being developed by Punchers Impact, whose last game was Crasher, a vehicle combat game for the PC.
Interestingly, this may possibly be Puncher Impact’s last title. Its owner, Mindscape, is rumored to have shut down the French studio earlier this year. Given that Lucha Fury‘s development is likely already complete, this shouldn’t affect its release, but I’m checking in on that just to be sure. Because I know how worried you are, of course.
