Rumortoid: PlayStation Move to launch in September

Recommended Videos

I don’t know if you follow UK show The Gadget Show, but show personality Jason Bradbury is someone who could know some inside information. If you believe that, then this rumor will have some weight. As with all rumors these days, this one comes from Twitter:

another thing I was meaning to say. Sept for Playstation Move!!! I’m sure of it. Can’t say why. Just.. September 2010

That was Bradbury’s tweet, dropped after a hands-on session with Sony’s motion-sensing controller tech. EDGE asked Sony about this and got back exactly what you’d expect: “SCEE will confirm the launch date for Move in due course, and any dates mentioned at present, are just rumour and speculation.”

If you ask me, the timing’s good. You’ll see a good bit of hands-on at E3, and then Sony will have time to get it ready for the fall and the holiday season. Plus, it’s timed perfectly with the 2010 Tokyo Game Show.

We already knew that the system is coming this fall, though. They told us that awhile back. See above picture. This would be early fall if it drops in September, though.

BTW, UK. I hate how you spell “rumoured.”
