The Witcher 2 officially confirmed for Xbox 360

CD Projekt Red has been making a big to-do about an announcement being made today. After months of speculation and assumption, the developer confirmed in a live streaming presentation that their hugely popular RPG, The Witcher 2, will be seeing release on home consoles when it arrives for Xbox 360 later this year.

Speaking to the internet, representatives from CD Projekt Red claimed that the console version would sport graphics very near if not at the quality level found in the PC release. In addition, all DLC updates released for the PC version prior to the Xbox 360 launch will be included in the new version.

We’ve been hearing through the grapevine that a console release was practically a sure thing for what feels like an eternity. Nice to get the confirmation, though I’m sure there are some PS3 folks out there who feel a little bummed out that they aren’t going to get in on this action.
