Dead to Rights Retribution gets DLC pack on June 1

Namco Bandai’s Dead to Rights: Retribution is on store shelves now, and the publisher hasn’t wasted any time announcing downloadable content.

On June 1, the “GAC Pack” will be made available for 400 MS Points/$4.99. It will contain two new game modes, along with the “Jack Pack” and “Shadow Pack” DLC, which was previously only available as a pre-order bonus.

The “Assault on the 87th Precinct” mission is featured as part of the DLC, and is an entirely new scenario that puts players in the shoes of Grant City Anti-Crime soldiers. As a sniper, brawler, and tank, players descend on the Grand City Police Department in an effort to contain the police force.

In the other mode, “Riot Control,” players once again control Rick and his canine pal Shadow as they fend off waves of GAC forces. The idea here is to earn points based on speed and battle style, earning points that go towards an overall score ranked on a leaderboard.

For five bucks, it sounds like a decent bit of content. Has anyone picked up Dead to Rights: Retribution? Namco Bandai hasn’t sent us a review copy, but it looks like the titles getting middle of the road review scores — on Metacritic it current sits at an average of 58 for the Xbox 360, and is only faring a bit better at 65 for the PlayStation 3.
