Get StarCraft II beta access with a GameStop pre-order

Recommended Videos

So you didn’t get into the StarCraft II beta. Tough luck. For what it’s worth, neither did I — but that’s perfectly fine. Word on the ‘net is that an alternative method to get in on the Blizzard madness has revealed itself.

Reader Nick wrote in to let us know that he got beta access by putting a fiver down at GameStop. Why yes, a simple reservation is all that’s required. By the time you read this, he will have already played StarCraft II for hours on end. Hours on end, people!

A word of caution: once you actually get a beta key, don’t even think about going back for a refund. Not gonna work, buddy. Also, Jonathan Ross tells me that if you were to pre-order the game from GameStop’s website, you’d have to put down the full $59.99. Ouch!

[Thanks, Funran]
