Reserving a copy of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands won’t score you a date with Jake Gyllenhaal or even a chance to make contact with his beautiful, beautiful eyeballs, but slapping down a pre-order will, at least, net you some decent game-side exclusive goodies. The catch is that three four major retailers are offering different junk.
As announced this afternoon, Amazon.com is offering pre-orderers five dollars off the retail price and giving away copies of Gameloft’s digital Prince of Persia mobile game. Best Buy is offering the “Sand Wraith” character skin, a look The Warrior Within players should remember well. GameStop is offering “Forgotten Arena,” an exclusive Horde-type of mode that pits the Prince against “waves of relentless enemies.” And finally, GameCrazy is offering to clean up their store before you enter. May 18th, guys.
