Fumito Ueda wants Team Ico games ported to PS3

Ask yourself this question: Would I like to play Ico and Shadow of the Colossus in high-definition on the PS3? If you answered anything other than “yes,” I’m not sure I know how to communicate with you.

For the rest of us, we are not alone. Fumito Ueda, the genius behind these modern day classics, would like to see Team Ico’s previous games get treatment not unlike the God of War Collection released last year. Speaking with Kotaku, Ueda had the following to say about the prospect:

“I do have an interest in that. Next week, I’ll have a meeting [about the possibility] … But it might not be so easy, because, with both titles we really stretched the limits of the PS2. It’s complex. So it’s not such an easy transfer to the PS3. But I want to discuss it.”

Not only is the man interested, but he’s taking action! I’m afraid to get my hopes up about such a thing but damn if I don’t want to believe. Make it happen Ueda and we will worship you like the benevolent god you are.
