First Binary Domain trailer is very metallic, robotic

We like robots here at Destructoid, but I’m not fond of those skinny humanoid ones with the perfectly round eyeballs and exposed metal skeleton. I think we can all agree that those are universally seen as threats to human existence. Boxy robots forever!

We have the very first gameplay trailer for Sega’s Binary Domain. Their upcoming squad-based shooter shows how machines took over humanity in Tokyo in the year 2080. Every scene from this trailer comes from the in-game engine, and I think it’s looking rather nice already. Some of the locales and set pieces look a bit generic, but I think this is shaping up to be a solid title.

Binary Domain is coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 in early 2012.
