Recommended Videos

If you haven’t played Crysis, you may know it as the game your friends talk about having been “far too graphic intensive,” and that they weren’t able to play it.

Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful game … if you could play it. That seems to be the general consensus, though. The series — developed by the award-winning Crytek — is going to take a better turn, however, with Crysis 2. Or, so we hope …

The developers of are working on a new multi-platform engine called CryEngine3, which they hope will solve the problem of the “rig breaker.” If you aren’t a PC gamer and missed out on that hot, high-spec mess we knew as Crysis, well, you’re in luck. The developer is currently working to bring the sequel  to consoles, including the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Until then, we’re waiting to see if the game and engine are going to change how we think about Crysis.
