Heavy Rain director hints at PlayStation motion chicanery

Heavy Rain director David Cage has hinted at a possible project involving Quantic Dream and the Sony Wiimote. Of course, many are now assuming that Heavy Rain will be retooled for full motion control, which would make plenty of sense.

“I have a lot of interest in Sony’s motion device and there is a good chance that we announce something about it in the coming weeks,” says Cage. The director had previously told Destructoid that Quantic Dream would definitely experiment with the Sony Wiimote.

Heavy Rain was originally designed to be a motion project, but it wasn’t feasible at the time. Nevertheless, Cage still insists that the Heavy Rain control scheme is designed with motion in mind, which would indicate that it wouldn’t take too much work to change the current controls. Maybe brushing your teeth and drinking orange juice will feel even more amazing than it does now!
