Looks like you won’t have to leave the house to get your hands on StarCraft II, which Activision Blizzard has confirmed will ship this year.

On today’s investor’s conference called, CEO Bobby Kotick revealed that the title will be downloadable by way of Blizzard’s all new Battle.net. The new service was unveiled yesterday, and includes handful of new features, and is the apparent foundation for all of Blizzard’s titles going forth.

No word on when the StarCraft II beta will start, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
