Ten Minute Taste: Last Rebellion

Recommended Videos

If you’ve ever played one, you’ll know that ten minutes is barely enough for a whiff, much less a taste of the typical RPG. That’s why we recorded eleven minutes of footage from NIS-America’s new title, Last Rebellion, due February 23rd. That’s just enough time for you to watch the opening crawl experience Ayako Kato’s unique illustration style, and watch me muddle through the first tutorial fight against some rather boss-sized enemies.

Last Rebellion‘s system seems to revolve around targeting enemy body parts and working out the best sequences to hit them in, the better to apply damage multipliers and special “Stamp Magic.” Unfortunately, this early tutorial only features the actions of Nine Asfel, our smug-but-talented hero. You can actually use two characters in tandem during battle.

Watch the video and tell us what you think! And then…

Time for lunch!
