CD Projekt’s They has been put on hold

They, the weird looking FPS from Witcher publisher CD Projekt, has been put on hold. The game has been shown to the public in dribs and drabs since 2007, but considering the news on this game had been light at best for the past few years, this is perhaps no big surprise.

According to CD Projekt, the game has been postponed so that additional resources can be poured into The Witcher 2, which is obviously a far more important prospect. The game hasn’t been axed completely, with the publisher fully intending to return to the game, but until The Witcher 2 appears, you can forget about it.

Considering we barely new a thing about They, it’s not a huge loss. Still, I always get this feeling that CD Projekt has just been managing to stay in this business by the skin of its teeth, and stories like this don’t help the impression.
