NIS-America’s Viral Survival has great logo, trailer

Isn’t that a cool logo? I like all that squiggly stuff behind the text, and there are some eyeballs behind there that kinda remind me of Patapon, which also has a nice logo.

Anyway, Viral Survival‘s coming to WiiWare, and is touted as an “escape action game” where the main goal is survival. Hence, the term “survival” in the title. Players control a DNA unit dodging enemy viral attacks. In this case though, I’m reasonably certain that “viral” does not refer to current marketing strategies for Dante’s Inferno or Bioshock 2. Just regular viruses, like swine or bird flu. Maybe a bit of plague, for a “period piece” atmosphere.

Anyway, the little DNA units can connect to other DNA units, dragging them along in a quest to not die. So far it sounds a little bit like Snake, which is cool, since I haven’t played some decent Snake since I stopped using my ancient Nokia phone.

Check out a trailer for the game below. I like the visual style and the fast pace.
