Call of Pripyat gets dated (for real this time)

Recommended Videos

Last time we checked in, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat was given a release month: February. Seeing as how that announcement was sent out, what, less than a week ago, today’s “news” that the exact North American launch date is February 2 is kind of funny.

I guess the specifics were still being worked out, or maybe publisher Viva Media just wanted us to give this game exposure a second time for little to no reason. Which is perfectly fine, because saying the word “Pripyat” is a load of fun to do.

In preparation, I finally got around to installing Shadow of Chernobyl with the Oblivion Lost mod this past weekend. I think I like this game. No, I do like this game. I’m completely lost and keep dying, but I’m enjoying myself.

Not realizing you can bleed out in-game, I figured “hey, this sleeping bag will restore my health!” And that, my friends, was the first time I died in my sleep inside of a videogame.
