Fight Night Champion gets serious about stamina

Regional Anaerobic Fatigue. That’s what EA Sports is bringing to the table with Fight Night Champion, and what it basically what it means is the most complicated, but accurate, stamina system in any boxing game to date.

Here’s the deal: instead of having one stamina meter for your boxer, you’re looking at four: one for each arm, one for your torso, and one for your legs. The result is that players can’t simply spam a single punch over and over again and expect to win. Instead, throwing combos and using your whole body will be key.

It’s all detailed in the latest trailer for Fight Night Champion, which you should check out if you want more details. If it seems like we’ve been posting a lot of these lately, you’re not off the mark. EA’s got a lot to say about the title, and I think this is the second trailer we’ve had this week… and it’s only Tuesday.

The game is out March 1. A trailer a day until then or bust, EA.
