World of Warcraft: Cataclysm sells 4.7 mil in first month

According to Blizzard Entertainment, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is a success. Surprise, right?

By “success” I mean it has apparently sold through over 4.7 million copies of the game worldwide, just in its first month of release. This makes Cataclysm the fastest-selling PC game in all of history, says Blizzard, topping the previous record holder… another World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.

I don’t play World of Warcraft because I fear it might jeopardize the integrity of the relationship I have with my wife and kids. So I’m not going to pretend I truly understand why this WoW train simply won’t stop. WoW players, is Cataclysm the best expansion yet, and are these sales justified? Are you already lining up for the next installment?
