X-Men Arcade actually welcomes PSN to die before XBLA

Remember when we reported that Konami’s digital download version of the classic X-Men Arcade would hit Xbox Live Arcade a few weeks before PlayStation Network? Nix that — it’s actually coming to PlayStation 3 first, Konami has clarified.

Don’t get all bent out of shape, Xbox 360 owners, because it’s only by a day. X-Men Arcade will hit PSN next Tuesday, December 14; 360 owners can spend their MS points on Wednesday, December 15.

X-Men Arcade will feature drop-in online multiplayer for up to six players online, and will include two versions of the game ROM — the North American release and the Japanese release. The difference? Japan’s version apparently had power-ups, including health packs. Cheaters.

Correction: X-Men Arcade coming to PSN in North American on Dec. 14, XBLA on Dec. 15 [Joystiq]
