Halloween comes early: Costume Quest dated, priced

Double Fine — more than any other big-name studio — seems perfectly fitted to pump out some original, quality downloadable titles. The company gets to continue making the types of games it seems to enjoy making, minus the risks associated with putting out a retail product.

Costume Quest is one such game, and as of today, we know when it’s coming out and for how much. October 20, 2010 for a standard fee of $15 is when the magic happens on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade.

I’ll likely be getting this one purely based on the premise of Halloween costumes turning real, because seriously, that’s such a good concept. Also, it’s Double Fine — I’m sure that alone is enough for many of you. Here’s the trailer, in case you missed it originally.
