GoldenEye reminds us what split-screen looks like

GoldenEye is back. Get your friends.”

This. This is why I’m excited for GoldenEye on the Wii (well, being a massive Bond fan helps too). I’m not sure if I’ll be able to recapture the magic that my friends and I had sitting in our parent’s basements at all hours, killing each other on the same maps over and over again, but I’m going to find out even if I have to pay for the plane ticket so my best friend can fly back from California.

My inevitable disappointment in not being able to recapture the glory days of my gaming youth aside, I must say that the multiplayer is looking pretty solid as these things go. The inclusion of new maps is, of course, welcome, and anything that brings in retro Bond characters gets my motor running. Oddjob’s hat throwing I could probably do without as he was annoying enough in the original game’s multiplayer, but what can you do?

If you’d like more we have screenshots below (Wii and DS) and an interview with the devs from gamescom here. You better want more, you hear me!?
