Sony just bumped up the hard drive sizes in the PS3 at gamescom this week, putting the two SKUs at 160GB and 320GB. There’s still plenty of the old 120GB and 250GB units on shelves, so it’s probably a good time to be shopping around for a discount at a retail clearout.
The folks at engadget point us to one clearout at electronics retailer Fry’s. The old 250GB units are marked down to only $299. This makes the not-so-old unit the same price as the new 160GB. I know which one I’d pick.
If you’re out there and see any more discounted PS3s, let us know.
