Driver: San Francisco slides into 2011

Recommended Videos

During its first quarter 2010-11 earnings call, Ubisoft brought some sensible news: Driver: San Francisco is being pushed back into early 2011. Citing the “competitive market at Christmas” as the reason for the delay, the game is now on track for release between January and March.

Really, it makes a lot of sense. Maybe I’m out of line here, but it doesn’t seem like Driver has the same pull as many of the November- and December-bound sequels to popular franchises that’ll be hitting around its (now old) launch date.

Getting Driver out of that time block should help it to not be completely overshadowed, unless everyone decides to move their games back like Ubisoft. Please, please don’t do that. Not again.
