Need for Speed World beta goes open, you know what to do

There are a lot of free-to-play, microtransaction-based videogames, which rocks. The vast majority of these aren’t terribly enticing, to put it nicely, which indeed does not rock. It looks as if EA Black Box might be on to something special with Need for Speed World, so perhaps there is hope yet.

As of this morning, the game went into open beta. So long as you’re willing to create an EA account, downloading NFS World is a few clicks away — assuming the servers have sorted themselves out. By the time you read this, it shouldn’t be much of an issue.
