Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC rises from the grave

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC that mysteriously disappeared for no good reason has now made a return.

The DLC pack features five playable characters — Magneto, Black Panther, Carnage, Psylocke, and Cable — along with new challenge missions. All of that for only 800 MS Points for Xbox 360 or $9.99 for PlayStation 3. (“Only”? Really?) You can also pick up Juggernaut as a playable character for 160 MS Points/$1.99.

The content is available right now on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and “coming soon” to the PlayStation Network. It’ll be available until the end of the year, at which point it will vanish again. Activision says this content has returned due to “popular” demand, but I can’t imagine there was much of an outcry for paid DLC for an eight-month-old game.

But hey, who am I to say? Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 is actually pretty good, and I supposed it could benefit from a playable Magneto. Anyone already pick up these characters and challenge missions? Worth the dough? Let us know!
