Quirky robot antics ensue in this Spare Parts trailer

Recommended Videos

Even though EA Bright Light’s Spare Parts plays nothing like Metal Arms: Glitch in the System and only really resembles it on a basic “they both have yellow robots” level, I love how the comparison is being drawn by some of you guys. Any excuse to think about Metal Arms is fine by me.

In this debut trailer, we’re shown that there’s as much platforming about as there is fighting weird creatures. The combat — as depicted in the video, at least — seems relatively simple. Even if that ends up being the case in the full game, Spare Parts still has co-op going for it.

My extensive history with beat-’em-ups has taught me one thing: repetitive fights + allowing multiple players = who cares, we’re punching dudes, together — SO FUN! Actually, there was one other thing, too: you do NOT mess with fire-breathing midgets. Ever.
