Much to the delight of Fallout fans and worried PC gamers alike, Bethesda has posted the first half of its Q&A session for Fallout: New Vegas. The questions were submitted by users, so yes, you better believe project director Josh Sawyer got all into it with the technical answers.
Perhaps most important of all, the specifics of New Vegas‘ DRM were discussed. The game uses Steamworks, so you’ll need to be online and have Steam during the first install of your retail copy. After that, you aren’t required to be online in order to play, and additional installs are limitless.
Obviously no DRM at all is ideal, if unrealistic. I tend to view Steam as the next best alternative, as I’m sure many of you do too.
