Contra getting a spiritual sequel in Hard Corps: Uprising

My memory of Contra: Hard Corps is fuzzy. It’s been so long, I can only recall two things: dying frequently and those absurd boss fights that were so hugely popular with videogames at the time. For those of you who got further into it, you’ll be pleased to know a spiritual successor of sorts is on the way.

Hard Corps: Uprising is the name, and it’s coming to PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade complete with on- and offline co-op and rather sleek-looking visuals. Who’s involved with this project? I’m glad you asked! Konami is publishing and Arc System Works (BlazBlue) is handling development duties.

A nifty “winter 2010” tag has been slapped on Hard Corps: Uprising — expect to see a bunch more of it in a little under two weeks at E3.
