A new Sonic game? Alongside Sonic 4? An Italian press release that NeoGAF found gives up the info on what was just a trademark not long ago. It’s a new Wii and DS Sonic game called Sonic Colors. Or Colours, for you Europeans. An alien race and a sci-fi themed amusement park are involved? Hell, why not!
An alien race imprisoned by Dr. Eggman in a theme park, and you’re out as Sonic to save them. The release says that the Wii version combines 2D and 3D perspectives, while the DS version uses all the characteristics of the dual-screened console.What sounds most interesting is the “color power” power-ups that these aliens grant Sonic. Sonic can drill new paths with the Yellow Drill or go even faster with the Cyan Laser.
The “end of 2010” is the given release date. Perhaps we’ll see more at E3.
