Alan Wake DLC will be ‘standalone episodes’

Alan Wake is almost upon us and the reviews are already out. I guess that means it’s time to be talking more about DLC, eh?

If you’re expecting additional content to extend the core storyline of the game, then you should probably make some adjustments to your perspective. In an interview with CVG, Remedy’s Oskari Hakkinen has stated that DLC for the game will provide, “a different perspective on the things you’ve done on season one and then trying to set you up for the possible things you’re going to do in season two.”

That appeals to me, if for no other reason than it’s less common than tacking on some sort of epilogue or other such nonsense. That said, I’m curious as to what the execution is going to be. If they’re going to be telling different angles to the story, am I going to be experiencing those as Alan Wake or someone else?
