Nifflas, the indie developer behind the excellent Knytt Stories and Saira, has revealed his next project, FiNCK.
Clearly inspired by Super Mario Bros. 2, Nifflas calls the 2D platformer the “antithesis to all [his] previous ambitious projects.” The title is pure gameplay with absolutely no story. “Even its title makes no sense,” the developer adds, referring to the words the letters in FiNCK stand for — “Fire Nuclear Crocodile Killer.”
FiNCK will be released on May 12. In the meantime, we’ve got a trailer, which certainly has that Doki Doki Panic/Super Mario Bros. 2 vibe. You won’t hear me complaining about that.
