There are two types of people in this world. Those who happily play Dwarf Fortress, and those who want to play it but can’t because there are a number of scary-looking barriers to entry.
For those of us who fall into the sissy camp, now we too can fully appreciate the greatness of Dwarf Fortress with the aid of an illustrated story that retells the events one player witnessed first-hand while playing.
Thankfully, this person — who goes by the username Nomad — has a good thing going for him in the way of design. As you can hopefully recognize from the teaser picture above, the illustration is everything vanilla Dwarf Fortress is not: namely, delightful to look at.
