UPDATE: You’ll get more than a silenced shotgun or a stupid-looking assault rifle with your pre-order of Splinter Cell: Conviction at Best Buy or GameStop. According to the retailer’s respective game detail pages, publisher Ubisoft will doing something of a special run of Conviction discs that will offer access to an Xbox 360 exclusively-first Ghost Recon: Future Soldier multiplayer beta.
The beta offer — which appears very similar to the Halo 3 / Crackdown business of long ago — extends to online and in-store pre-orders at the two retailers — but only while supplies last. So if you feel the need building already, you might want to consider dropping the coin now. Lord knows the GameStop and Best Buys of the world need the boost and you definitely need access to that beta, right?
