Following the announcement of The Witcher 2 comes word of an iPhone entry into the series, called The Witcher: Versus.
You can get most of the gameplay details from the trailer above, but word also comes that it’ll have ties to the browser-based version of the game, so you’ll never have to be without your fix. It also looks like it’ll be used as somewhat of a promo tool for the upcoming sequel — the game will have unlockable concept artwork for The Witcher 2.
Unlike some other iPhone game tie-ins (I’m looking at you Mass Effect: Galaxy), The Witcher: Versus at least looks to be a full, standalone product. No release date yet, so we’ll just have to wait to see if the promise of a rich portable Witcher experience pays off.
