Mass Effect 2: DLC outside Cerberus Network also coming

The Cerberus Network, the Mass Effect 2‘s dedicated DLC pipeline, may have confused some. Would this be the only way to get ME2 DLC? Would this DLC be free? Could you pay for DLC outside of this in-game portal?

Joystiq managed to clear some of this up through an interview with BioWare’s Dr. Greg Zeschuk. It turns out that seperate pay DLC will be coming later. “It’s not going to be all free DLC for Mass Effect 2 — far from that. There’ll be paid DLC packs, and there’ll be stuff available through Cerberus as well,” Zeschuk said.

It looks like all the DLC coming out of the in-game Cerberus Network will be free. Separate stuff will be available to everyone, and will have to be paid for.
