It’s a shame this first official trailer for Tyler Glaiel and Jon Schubbe’s Closure flew completely under my radar when it made the rounds a few days ago — the game is looking quite good, and it deserves your attention.
I haven’t thought much about it since PAX last year, where the game was on full display. Of course, every time I walked by the demo station, I passed on giving it a try. Sucking at Closure in front of a small audience? Not something I was ready to do, especially after a botched New Super Mario Bros. Wii attempt.
Plus, it’s very unsettling, thanks in part to the musical stylings of Chris Rhyne. Again, this trailer seems to do a terrific job of showing the strengths. Even a relatively simple-looking game can still provide plenty of chills. Creepy, creepy stuff.
With a 2011 release in mind for both the PC and Mac versions of Closure, we’ve still got quite a bit of waiting ahead of us. For the time being, you can check out the early flash-based Closure to get a basic understanding of the premise.
