Doritos’ ‘Unlock Xbox’ contest down to three finalists

Recommended Videos

Why yes, the Doritos-powered “Unlock Xbox” competition is still going down. Of course, you knew that, because you always keep up on the latest Doritos happenings.

The contest has reached the final stage, which involves the three finalists pitching their games — Throw, Avatar Crash Course, and Harms Way — as well as the judges deciding who gets what prizes. The pitches have already been made and are viewable at this site.

Two of the finalists will have their game ideas turned into actual Xbox LIVE Arcade titles (think Dash of Destruction) in addition to one of them getting $50,000 and a “game consulting job for Doritos.” The fine people at Doritos aren’t joking around here.

I can’t help but wonder if the cash will have any delicious orange dust on it. Anyway, Throw is probably my favorite of the bunch if only because it sounds absurdly hectic; I’m always up for a little chaos in my games. Check back on January 25 to see which two move on.
