No Dead Space 2 in 2010?

While Electronic Arts and Visceral Games haven’t committed to a release date for Dead Space 2, GameStop is pretty sure it won’t be next year.

The retailer is listing the title for an early January release, which means gamers looking to find out what happens to Isaac Clarke after the events on the Ishimura USG may just have to wait. In the latest issue of Game Informer (201), the game’s executive producer Steve Papoutsis hints that the developer is in no rush.

“We’re committed to delivering this game at the highest quality level possible,” he says. “It’s going to ship when it’s ready.”

We’ve heard that one before, but we’re willing to wait. You can’t hurry hot Necromorph on human action.

(Note: Yes, Steve Papoutsis is the ex-bassist for the punk band, No Use For A Name. There’s your random tidbit for the day.)
