Borderlands selling big: 2 million copies off the shelves

Moons and moons ago, we learned that Borderlands was in fact selling well despite being released in the middle of a cluttered seasonal release schedule. This afternoon gave us a solid number indicating its success: Gearbox Software’s colorful RPS has sold 2 million units worldwide. Let that sink in.

The number was announced in Take-Two Interactive’s latest financial release, according to Joystiq. The publisher added the Borderlands “has established itself as a key franchise for Take-Two … “ No doubt it has. Now, how about that Borderworlds thing we heard about not so long ago?
