First look at Metro 33 reveals monster, broken things

Earlier today, THQ announced that it would be publishing Metro 2033, a first-person shooter based on a best-selling Russian novel, for Xbox 360 and PC in early 2010.

Now, we bring you the first look at the game that NVIDIA’s Ujesh Desai says “boasts some of the most advanced graphics and PhysX effects” he’s ever seen. The trailer shows off a war torn subway in Moscow, where residents have taken refuge after a post apocalyptic event.

While THQ (or the trailer, actually) doesn’t come out and say it… there are monsters involved. Just check out the box art… yup, that’s a monster in the reflection of those goggles. And it looks pissed.

What do you think of this first look at Metro 33?
