Machinarium rolls out new trailer and release date

I like the late night Sunday post because it means that i know one of my stories is going to be seen on Monday morning when everyone gets to work and immeadiatley starts not doing work by reading Destructoid. Thus I am wont to save something extra special for the slot on some occasions and I can’t think of a more deserving subject than Machinarium. Above we have a brief new trailer for the beautiful point-and-click puzzle/adventure game and below we have some new concept artwork. We’ve also been informed that the digital release date for the game is going to be Oct. 16.

In case you’ve missed our previous coverage of what looks to be one of the best looking games of the year Machinarium is from the creators of Samorost and Samorost 2, so you know the high quality pedigree is there. On top of that it stars a robot and features an amazingly unique animated look to it. Even more on top of that Chad “Loves awesome things” Concelmo loves the game. There’s a demo level floating around out there somewhere that I’ve played, but I’m having trouble finding it. Maybe I just dreamed it. After all, what are dreams made of but wonderfully illustrated puzzle/adventure games?
