Brutal Legend video explains multiplayer, talks rock

Recommended Videos

Raucous rock music does more than annoy parents in Brutal Legend. Harnessing the power of metal is as vital to the game’s lifeblood as an oxygen tank is to a scuba diver’s lungs. That is to say, without rock n’ roll there is no Brutal Legend.

The multiplayer component of the game is an RTS kind of thing — think Overlord with a touch of Kingdom Under Fire. In the component, players will control an avatar from one of three factions in an attempt to destroy eachother’s stages in epic Stage Battles. The avatar’s job is to direct troopers (followers) in battle, as well as to organize them and assign character classes … with the power of rock, of course.

The mode is no slouch — it’s heavy like this, but luckily, little explanation videos like the one above tend to explain these things a bit better than manuals can. Check it out if you’re interested in the multiplayer, and hey, read a bit about it too.
