Trine to release on Euro PSN soon, NA version still ‘TBD’

The PS3 version of Trine is coming to the European PSN soon. In an official release, publisher Nobilis and developer Frozenbyte announced that the lauded puzzler is slated to hit Euro PlayStation Store on September 17th. That’s like, uh, tomorrow.

The North American release of the downloadable is slated as “TBD” in this latest press release. The game was supposed to hit PSN this July. In a recent interview, Frozenbyte’s CEO Lauri Hyvarianen blamed testers, physics, “unlimited gameplay possibilities,” and small bugs as the reason why people still aren’t playing this thing on their PS3s. Sucks, right?

On the upside, Trine is still available on Steam and has been for the last eight or fourteen centuries.

We’re guessing the wait for an NA release isn’t long now considering the studio does have a PSN version hitting fairly soon. We’ll keep you in the loop.
